Six stages. No guesswork.
How every Oak home is designed, built and looked after, from first conversation to long after the keys.
Talk to usBuilding a home means hundreds of decisions. You shouldn't have to carry them alone.
Most people only build once or twice, so most of the decisions are new. Without a clear process, they pile up and the excitement turns into stress. The Oak Way breaks the build into six stages, each with a clear purpose and a clear outcome. You stay involved in the decisions that matter, and you always know what happens next.

Discover: Start with your life
Before anything is drawn, we learn what matters most to you and work backwards from there. Your block is investigated, your brief is built, and you'll sit down face to face with the people behind Oak.
What you walk away with
- A brief built around how you live
- A clear picture of your site
- Confidence in what happens next

Design: See it before it's built
Your home is designed around your life. You'll see it in sketches, in 3D and in a full-scale walkthrough of your floorplan. Fully Custom starts from a blank page. Semi-Bespoke starts from a home we've built.
What you walk away with
- A design you've seen at full scale
- An estimate matched to your design
- Planning and compliance managed

Personalise: Make it yours
Specialist consultations take you through every material, finish, fixture and comfort system. Each choice comes with its cost in front of you, so you can balance ambition with budget and feel sure of every decision.
What you walk away with
- Every selection made and confirmed
- A final tender with no hidden costs
- A clear view of the finished home

Build: Never in the dark
A registered building practitioner oversees the most critical structural phase at director level. Independent inspections happen at key milestones, and you'll always know who to call. If something needs your attention, you hear about it early.

Frequently asked questions
01Do both design pathways follow The Oak Way?
Yes. Every stage is the same on both pathways except Design, which starts from a blank page on Fully Custom and from a home we've built on Semi-Bespoke.
02When do I sign a building contract?
After Personalise, once every selection is confirmed and your final tender reflects your complete home. Construction doesn't start until it's signed.
03Who will I deal with during the build?
You'll always know who to call. The team is structured so there's a clear point of contact at every stage, with a director overseeing the structural phase.
04How often will I get updates?
You'll hear from us before you need to chase, and straight away if something needs your attention.
05What happens if something goes wrong?
You hear about it early and honestly, along with what we're doing about it. We'd rather have a hard conversation early than a bigger one later.
06What's covered after handover?
A 13-week maintenance check with an independent inspector, plus building warranties for up to 10 years.
